How to remove third-party account access from Google?

Updated today

With Birdeye, you can monitor reviews from Google close to instantly and be alerted when a new review comes in. Sometimes, there may be delays in aggregating Google reviews if you have not connected your Google Business Profile in Birdeye or you are integrated with another vendor for the same services. To ensure timely monitoring reviews in Birdeye, you need to remove third-party access from Google accounts.

In this article, we will learn how to remove third-party account access from Google Business Profile.

REMOVE THIRD-PARTY ACCOUNT ACCESS

If you gave Google Account access to a third-party app or service that you no longer trust or want to use, you could remove their access to your Google Account. The app or service will no longer be able to access information from your Google Account, but you may have to request that the data already there be deleted.

2. Under ‘Third-party apps with account access,’ select ‘Manage third-party access.’

3. Select the app or service you want to remove.

4. Select ‘Remove Access.’

IMPORTANT:

If you remove account access from a third-party app or service, it may retain info you provided from:

  • When you sign in with your Google Account.

  • When you granted other Google Account access to the app or service.
