How to integrate Google Business Profile listings with Birdeye - Multi-location Account?

This article shows you how to integrate Google Business Profile listings with Birdeye for a multi-location account.

Updated today

Integrating your Google Business Profile (GBP) listing with Birdeye is a more reliable method to get reviews. Once your GMB listing is integrated with Birdeye:

  • Google reviews on your GBP profile will be automatically aggregated into your Birdeye account for effective management.

  • You will also be able to respond to your Google reviews conveniently from within your Birdeye account. You will no longer need to log into your GBP profile to respond to customer reviews.

  • You will be able to get instant notifications for new reviews as well as updated reviews.

  • Integrating Google with Birdeye will ensure better reporting in terms of time accuracy.

NOTE:

Every business needs to follow a two-tier process to fetch reviews from its GBP listing(s).

Tier -1: Add your GBP listing(s) to review monitoring.

Tier -2: integrate the GBP listing(s) with Birdeye.

To learn how to add your GBP listing(s) to review monitoring, read the help center article: How do I add or delete a review site from monitoring?

Integrating GBP Listing

To begin the GBP listing integration, you need to authenticate your Google account. Birdeye will then fetch the GBP listings associated with your account and allow you to integrate those listings.

The steps to integrate your GBP listing(s) are detailed below.

  1. Click on the ‘Settings’ tab on the left navigation rail.

  2. Click on the ‘Integrations’ tab and select the ‘Google’ option.

  3. On the new screen, click on the ‘Connect’ button.

  4. It will redirect to the ‘Google sign-in page.’

  5. Log in to your ‘Google account’ linked with your GBP listings.

  6. Once you log in, select the Google account you want to integrate with Birdeye.

  7. Give permissions to Google to provide Birdeye access to your GBP listings.

  8. Click on the ‘Allow’ button to proceed.

  9. It will redirect to your Birdeye account.

  10. All the listings associated with your Google account will be visible.

  11. Once the associated listings are fetched, select and ‘Add’ the listing(s) to your Birdeye account.

  12. View a success notification once the GBP pages are integrated.

  13. Update the logo and brand name, and edit the welcome message and message for outside business hours to manage Google messages. For more information, read the help article: How do I set up Google Messaging within Birdeye?

  14. On the next screen, confirm whether the brand logo and name are correct.

NOTE:

A ‘Green Dot’ next to the listing denotes that the integration with Birdeye is live, while a ‘Red Dot’ denotes that the integration is broken. You can still map a GBP listing to a Birdeye location if the status of the listing is ‘Red.’

NOTE:

Birdeye takes 5-30 minutes to complete this process.

IMPORTANT:

  1. You will not be able to change the brand logo and name after you’ve saved them.

  2. If your business's Google account is managed by a separate entity, and you wish to allow them to integrate the GBP listing with Birdeye, you need to generate a social connect URL. You can then share the URL with the marketing agency or freelancer who manages your Google account. It helps them connect a social page with Birdeye without logging into the account.

To learn more about how to generate a social connect URL, read the help center article: How to generate social connect URLs?

NOTE:
