Birdeye provides you with the option of creating ‘Categories’ under the ‘Setup’ tab of your dashboard. You can create these ‘Categories’ in line with your internal operational metrics that you use to measure your company’s progress.

Once you define these ‘Categories’ within your Birdeye dashboard, you can use these categories to compare one location vs another using the ‘Insights’ tab of your Birdeye dashboard. Here is a help center article to help you understand the steps involved.

To glean meaningful insights from the posts aggregated into the system, follow these simple steps:

Go to the ‘Insights’ tab of your Birdeye dashboard. Click on the 'Show all filters' button to select the sources from where your social mentions are aggregated.

Next, a pop-up window will appear, scroll down and click on 'Filter by Source' drop-down. Learn more about the importance of filters within Social Listening with this help center article: What is the importance of filters within ‘Social Listening’?

You can also customize the other filters and can select the ‘Time period (PST)’, ‘Location’, ‘State’, ‘Region’ etc. based on which you want to gather insights on the performance of your business.

Next, click on ‘Categories’ on the top navigation bar. ‘Categories’ being location independent will display the overall performance of each location. Under 'Categories', you can also gain insights on the sentiment of each category and the number of times it has been mentioned. You can also take note of the ‘most mentioned keywords’ in addition to gaining information about your best and worst-performing locations.
