How do I auto-verify my GMB profile using Birdeye?

Updated today

As a Google Business Profile (GMB) Featured Partner, Birdeye can create, verify and manage Google Business Pages/Google Business Profiles automatically without the postcard verification process. With Birdeye’s auto-verification process, you will be given access to your profile in 72 hours, whereas postcard verification may require 3-5 weeks.

REQUESTING FOR AUTO-VERIFICATION

The first step is to check with your Birdeye customer success manager if you have the authorization to use Birdeye’s auto-verification service. If you are eligible, please provide the information mentioned below via the support dashboard.

  1. Name of the Business

  2. Business Phone number

  3. Address

  4. Days and Hours of operation

  5. Website URL

  6. Desired Business Category

  7. Proof of business with the accurate address and the location name. [“Signage, government proof, etc.”]

  8. User email who needs shared access

THE AUTO-VERIFICATION PROCESS

To ensure compliance with Google’s rules and regulations, Birdeye requires businesses to verify the validity of business locations. You can verify your GMB business locations using one of the ways listed below:

  • Documentation to support the validity of business location followed by an in-person visit.

  • Documentation showing that the location is registered and part of an industry association directory or a chamber of commerce.

  • Photographic evidence of the location with a business sign and address information displayed.

  • A scanned copy of proof of address, including the company name and the full address, such as a paid invoice sent by post from the location.

IMPORTANT:

Birdeye reserves the right to check the proof of address submitted for all-new locations before utilizing the Google Business Profile verification process to create the location.

Auto-verification will not work if…..

  • The existing GMB pages are suspended or need re-verification due to a change of address.

    NOTE:

To learn about the suspension of listings, read the help center article: What to do if your Google My Business (GMB) listing gets suspended?

  • As per Google’s guidelines, mailboxes are excluded from verification.

  • If the business is unable to verify its business address.

  • Listings are already claimed by someone else, or postcard delivery is in progress.

  • Additional limitations are listed in the official Google documentation here.

NOTE:

Brands with more than 10 locations do not qualify for auto-verification; they should go through a bulk verification process from Google.

Certain extra-sensitive verticals (clusters of categories) are restricted and ineligible for direct verification. The current list of restricted verticals is:
